In a two-day workshop (3-4 June, Woods Hole, MA), the TRB Committee on Alcohol, Other Drugs, and Transportation brought together experts from around the world to discuss issues related to alcohol and drug impairment among young drivers (16–24). The workshop covered the nature of the impaired driving problem among young drivers as well as a range of strategies to reduce the problem.
