He'd been incapacitated by a blood clot in his lung following back surgery nearly a year ago.

"I was paralyzed -- I could move my right leg maybe six inches, and my left leg may be two," the Williamston area resident said.

But after session after session at the Williamston office of Sparrow Physical Therapy, Tobia came to his last session July 30 walking virtually unassisted, and becoming a source of encouragement to other patients.

"It's a miracle -- I came here, they got me walking good and driving a car," he said.
