Is it possible for an adult to have ADD or ADHD? And if some, will the medication impact that person’s driving ability? April 12. 2009 – Sue, Minnesota

A friend of mine is 24 and has ADD and another friend that I know who is 25 with ADHD, both of which are on Adderal and drive perfectly fine. I dnot' think you need to worry! Sue,
In a recent article from the Medical News Today website: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/104688.php, stats that "The use of the medication methylphenidate considerably improves the driving ability of people with ADHD." I have a cousin (24 Female) who has ADHD and has been taking Adderal and she seems to drive just fine. Im not quite sure if Adderal contains methylphenidate, but its diffently something to look into. Hope this information helps, best of luck.
